Educational Background
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
- Earned a Juris Doctor Degree, Magna Cum Laude.
- United State Air Force - Certification in Electronic Countermeasures and Electronic Warfare Systems - 11 month training in advanced defense electronic systems at Keesler AFB, Mississippi.
Military Background
- My military training in Electronic Counter Measures (ECM), interfacing with advanced satellite communications and real-time electronic systems, provides invaluable insight for drafting and prosecuting patents in electronics, communications, and aerospace technologies.
ECM – Electronic Counter Measures/Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist. Responsible for electronic component calibration, component level troubleshooting, component level repair, modification, and maintenance of Hickam AFB’s ECM (Electronic countermeasures) systems and ECCM (Electronic Counter Countermeasures). Electronic, electrical, and computer engineering.
Worked with microwave principles, applications and testing methods, infrared (IR), electro-optical, ultraviolet, and laser technologies, and various other top secret, secret, and confidential bands in the electromagnetic spectrum. Responsible for airframe mounting of pod and chaff-based EW systems, as well as threat detection processing units. Supported, maintained, researched, developed, and implemented customized EW processes for mission-specific tasks involving selection of ALQ series or other jammers, receivers, chaff & flare dispensers, computer processing units, and procedures for last-second upload of mission-critical coordinates and potential new bandwidth selections. Conducted last-minute waveguide changes, interfaced with satellite feeds for real-time data synchronization, and uploaded mission-critical enemy SAM sites and other coordinates. Worked with radio, radar, infrared (IR), electro-optical, ultraviolet, and laser technologies, ALQ series jamming pods, offensive and defensive electronic warfare/electronic countermeasures equipment, and most aspects of EW/ECM/ECCM equipment.
During my tenure as an Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist with the U.S. Air Force, I gained extensive experience in operating and maintaining advanced ECM systems, including ALQ jamming pods integrated with satellite communication capabilities for mission-critical operations. These systems relied heavily on satellite-fed data for real-time adjustments, ensuring optimal countermeasure effectiveness in dynamic combat scenarios. This expertise translates seamlessly into handling patent applications involving intricate satellite and electronic technologies.
Key responsibilities included:
• Managing and maintaining complex ECM systems involving microwave, infrared (IR), electro-optical, ultraviolet, and laser technologies, all of which play a critical role in modern defense and aerospace patents.
• Conducting system-level analyses of satellite telemetry and ECM interoperability, providing a foundation for drafting detailed patent claims for cutting-edge electronic systems.
• Supporting and implementing customized ECM processes for mission-specific tasks, including the selection and configuration of ALQ series jammers, chaff & flare dispensers, and other electronic countermeasures equipment.
• Executing real-time uploads of mission-critical enemy site coordinates and last-minute waveguide configurations, showcasing problem-solving skills applicable to IP law for high-tech inventions.
